MASSIVE Hazmat Response in Midtown after Woman Found Dead inside a Car from Exposure to Unknown Materials

March 5 2023 MANHATTAN, New York – Massive police response has shut down Midtown street this Sunday afternoon, as a woman was found dead inside a car with unknown “hazardous materials”.

Hazmat units and Police rushed to East 56th Street and Sutton place around 11:30am this morning, after a 35-year-old woman was found unresponsive in the back of a car, police say.

According to reports by AM New York, two NYPD officers rushed to the scene after being alerted by a woman walking her dog.

Two officers who arrived on the scene opened the door to assist the woman as powerful odor poured out of the car.

Massive emergency response arrived to the scene, first responders in hazmat suits were seen investigating the car and appeared to be checking it for possible radioactive materials.

Woman was pronounced dead and investigation is ongoing, it is not yet known which specific chemicals or materials were inside the vehicle.
