March 5 2023 BRONX, New York – A massive 5-Alarm Fire raged through a supermarket in the Bronx this Sunday afternoon, leaving multiple people injured.
An e-bike with a lithium-ion battery was what caused the fire at Concourse Food Plaza in Fordham Heights, destroying it.
Fire started at approximately 10:40 a.m., according to the FDNY the e-bike was in the back of the supermarket, it was discovered burned and charred.
At least seven people were injured in this fire, five firefighters sustained minor injuries. One civilian and one EMS worker have sustained serious injuries and are treated at a local hospital.
