March 4 2023 MANHATTAN, Brooklyn – a Deli worker was shot and killed by a suspect wearing a hazmat suit during apparent Upper East Side robbery.
Police say that hazmat wearing Suspect walked into the store and demanded money.
The 67-year-old male Deli worker was shot in the head inside of Doana Gourmet around 11:30pm near East 81st Street and Third Avenue on the Upper East Side ,officials confirmed.
Police say that victim was declared dead at the scene.

The suspect fled the scene on a scooter southbound on 3rd Avenue, police said.
Shortly after, another bodega was robbed at gunpoint in the Bronx, incident happened shortly before midnight near 160th Street and Melrose Avenue, near a Concourse Village.
Police said that the Bronx robbery suspect was also wearing a white hazmat suit and a black mask, they belive the two incidents are connected. Police say he was seen fleeing on 160th Street after the Bronx robbery.
Earlier in the day around 1:30pm in Brooklyn, police confirmed a gunpoint robbery by a suspect wearing a HAZMAT suit and a green camouflage bookbag. Incident happened at 627 Manhattan Avenue, suspect also fled on a black scooter.
It is not yet known if the Brooklyn incident is connected.
