February 22, 2023 MANHATTAN, New York – Detectives in East Harlem are searching for a man wanted in connection with the alleged shooting of a 41-year-old woman, at a Housing development, Wednesday morning, cops said.
According to police, the female victim sustained a critical gunshot wound to the head and was found on the 6th floor. The victim was transported to Harlem hospital for further treatment with life threatening injuries.
At approximately 8:31am, 25th precinct police responded to a Manhattan NYCHA building at 60 E 135th Street between Madison and Park Avenues. Specialized police units were on scene to investigate if the suspect was possibly barricaded inside of the housing development building.
Officers are searching for a African American male wearing a red jacket who reportedly fled eastbound towards Harlem River drive. No arrests at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
