February 20 2023 BRONX, New York – A mother and her 11 month old child are injured and a father has passed away after a fire at a high rise Bronx building on Monday evening.
The fire broke out around 10:15 p.m., possibly in the kitchen of the 24th floor apartment. High rise apartment building is located at 1133 Ogden Ave. in the Highbridge section of the Bronx.

A 45-year-old man was pulled from the 24th floor apartment during the fire, firefighters found him unconscious and unresponsive, he lasted died of his injuries at the hospital.

Fatal victim’s two sons, 11 month-old and 15 year-old, as well as their 46-year-old mother were also rescued from the fire and taken to a hospital stable condition.

Over 100 firefighters and EMS personnel about battled the heavy flames of the 2-Alarm Fire for nearly an hour. Fire marshal is continuing investigation into the cause of fire.
Few hours later around 3:20am in Prospect Lefferts Garden neighborhood of Brooklyn, victim was seen rushed away from another fire on a stretcher with CPR.






Fire broke out at 431 Fenimore Street on the second floor, the victim was rushed to a local hospital where he passed away from his injuries.
