Man Robbed of his Rolex, Thief Fires Shots near Rockafeller Plaza

February 6 2023 MANHATTAN, New York – A man was robbed of his Rolex watch by an armed suspect who fired off a gunshot during the robbery near Rockefeller Plaza on Monday night, according to police.

The suspect allegedly shot into the ground during the robbery on West 48th Street near Rockefeller Plaza shortly before 6:30pm,officials confirmed.

Police say the suspect fled westbound on foot wearing a red jacket with a fur hood and blue jeans.

Meanwhile in Greenwich Village neighborhood of Manhattan, 10 men in a Uhaul truck with Arizona plates have fled after an apparent robbery in around 7:24pm.

Local police responded to reports of a robbery near Bleecker & Sullivan Streets, inside a store.

Police say the group wanted for questioning is alleged to have participated in a string of commercial robberies at other locations. No arrests at this time.
