42-year-old Man Dies after Losing Control of his Car and Flying into a Tree off Bronx Highway

January 21, 2023 BRONX , New York – A 42-year-old man has died following a car crash on the Bronx River Parkway, police said.

Police say incident happened around 9.06 p.m., near of Boston Road and Bronx River Parkway.

A 42-year-old male was driving a Mazda, going northbound on the Bronx River Parkway in the right lane when he lost control of his vehicle and veered right off the roadway into a grassy area.

Car hit a fence and then crashed into a tree, police confirmed. Driver was rushed to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi where he was pronounced dead.

There are no other vehicles involved and no other injuries have been reported as a result of this collision.
