Ukrainians Gathered in New York City on the day of Deadly Attack on Dnipro

January 14, 2023 MANHATTAN, New York – Ukrainian and New Yorkers met on Saturday afternoon at Washington Square Park in Manhattan’s Washington Square Park for a silent protest, following deadly missile strike on Dnipro and other cities in Ukraine.

The morning in Ukraine began with loud explosions across the country, including Kyiv and Dnipro.

“The AFU do not have weapons capable of shooting down this type of missiles.Since the beginning of the war more than 210 missiles of this type have been fired. Not a single one was shot down by air defense means.”Ukrainian Armed Forces did not shoot down a missile over Dnipro, Air Armed Forces of Ukraine stated.

Russian attack on Ukraine today killed at least twelve people and injured at least 60, including 6 children,according to multiple officials statements.

Rescue teams spent the day pulling children and adults trapped under the ruble of residential building in Dnipro.
