January 10 2023 Brooklyn, New York – Detectives are on the hunt for a violent suspect following an assault with a knife where a man was stabbed to death in Marine Park, Brooklyn Tuesday evening, police said.
Just before 8:20pm, officers from the 63rd precinct responded to reports of an assault with a knife near Flatbush Avenue and Avenue R in the Marine Park neighborhood of Brooklyn.
Upon arrival at 2188 Flatbush Avenue, NYPD officers discovered a unresponsive 30-year-old male with critical stab wounds to the chest. The stabbing victim was rushed by EMS to NYC Health and Hospitals Kings County but could not be saved and was pronounced dead, cops said.
ESU in Tactical Gear and K-9 Units conducted a suspect search throughout the area. Police Dogs followed a scent after sniffing evidence with the Crime Scene Unit.
At this time there are no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
