December 19 2022 MANHATTAN, New York – A woman, with more than two dozen prior arrests, has been once again arrested for allegedly breaking into Robert De Niro’s Upper East Side townhouse and using his iPad.
Shanice Aviles, 30, was seen in handcuffs escorted out of the 19th precinct in Manhattan by police detectives to an awaiting jail transport police vehicle.
The 30-year-old Aviles, was caught by the police after allegedly breaking into the Upper East Side townhouse of Robert De Niro at around 2:30 a.m., as him and his daughter slept, police said.
Police say they were following a 30-year-old suspect who was trying door handles of commercial establishments in the area, momenteraly losing sight of her, then noticing a townhouse door open. It was not known at the time to the NYPD that townhouse belonged to Robert De Niro.
Police team went into the town house, finding Aviles on the second floor, using De Niro’s iPad, according to officials.
The serial burglar with more than 25 arrests on her rap sheet was spotted and apprehended by NYPD’s 19th Precinct Public Safety team early Monday morning.
