39-Year-Old Bronx Man Shot and Killed by Roomate Over Alleged Noise Complaint

December 18, 2022 Manhattan, New York – A 39-year-old man was gunned down in the Bronx the evening of Saturday December 17th, and succumbed from a fatal gunshot wound to the chest, police said.

According to police officials, the 39-year-old victim was involved in an altercation outside of the Pelham Gardens shared home where the suspect also lived. The incident turned violent when the housemate allegedly pulled a weapon over an ongoing noise complaint issue and shot the victim at least once in the chest.

Shortly after 7:30pm, 49th precinct police responded to reports of a person shot near Morgan Ave & Arrow Ave in the Bronx. Officers located an injured male at 2391 Morgan Avenue with a critical gunshot wound to the chest.

The victim was rushed to Jacobi Hospital by EMS but did not survive his injuries and was pronounced dead.

Detectives are searching for a gun toting black male suspect in his 40s who was last seen fleeing the location on foot.

No arrests at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
