Huge Baby Whale Washed up on Rockaway Beach

December 13 2022 QUEENS, New York – A huge whale washed up onto Rockaway Beach this morning in Queens.

Whale was seen at first in the water and then on shore, with what appeared to be marks across its face.

It appears that surfers, park department and construction workers attempted to save the whale in by jumping into the water water.

The whale who was likely a calf between 3- to 5-years-old, was breathing at first, after failed rescue attempts, NYPD confirmed the whale’s death.
