December 10 2022 MANHATTAN, New York – Thousands of SANTAS descended on on Manhattan NYC today for the 2022 annual SantaCon.
As the festivities kicked off, around 10am on Broadway between W 39th and W 40th streets, people from all over and of all ages dressed as Santas and all sorts of North Pole themes characters took part in games like jump roping and the limbo.

One group set up free poker table where people bet various objects like sticks of gum or santa hats.
As the Conga line snaked through the crowd of hundreds, even more Santas filled the streets around Midtown for the yearly drunken debauchery.

During Santacon of 2019, one of the celebrities joining the festivities was Gucci Mane, he was seen walking by 36th Street and 5th Avenue as the rapper went into Clinton Hall for one of the official Santacon parties.
Each year, and much to the chagrin of locals, the drunken Santas fill the streets of different parts of the city and bar-hop to event-sponsored locations around the city. In 2019 the event took place around Times Square, however the locations were spread out from the Upper West Side all the way down to the East Village. Everywhere you walked, there were Santas.
Several flyers were posted around midtown before the event saying “Not Wanted – Santacon.” And the sentiment seemed to be echoed on social media. However the Santas came, and they partied.
One year ago, on December 11th 2022, Hundreds of people gathered in Times Square to kick off Santacon 2021 event.
Santas plan to be bar crawling all day and their ticket cost for the crawl will be donated to charity.
Bar crawling festivities went well into the evening, with party goers taking over several bars and partying spilling out to the streets of New York City.
