December 08, 2022 Bronx, New York – Just after 8:00pm, a 41-year-old man was found shot and mortally wounded inside a Bronx apartment building, Thursday evening.
According to police, the victim was found with at least one gunshot wound to the chest on the third floor of the Baychester Houses NYCHA building near Schieffelin Pl & E 225th St in the Bronx.
EMS raced to the scene and rushed the shooting victim to Jacobi Hospital where he was pronounced deceased, said police officials.
At this time are no arrests, as a suspect fled the location following the shooting. Detectives are searching for a person of interest and the investigation is ongoing.
