November 24 2022 BRONX New York – A family of four was left seriously injured including 3 members in critical condition after a fire broke out in the kitchen in their Morris Heights, Bronx, apartment on Thanksgiving morning. All four members of the family were rushed to area hospitals as three had life threatening injuries, fire officials said.
Just before 6:00am, firefighters were called to a heavy fire at 1730 Harrison Ave where a father, mother, and two daughters, were taken out of an apartment that caught fire on the second floor of the building. The family of four were rushed out of the building by first responders and CPR was conducted on the victims.
According to officials, Perfecto Aramboles, 60, was rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he did not survive his injuries. It’s also being reported that his daughter Odalys Aramboles, 20, could not be saved and was pronounced dead at Bronx Lebanon Hospital. Two additional family members, including a 62-year-old and 63-year-old women, are currently listed in critical condition.
All four members of the family were hospitalized following the heavy fire with over 60 firefighters responding. Two of the residents are fighting for their lives with serious injuries as of mid Thursday early afternoon.








The official cause of fire that started in the apartment kitchen has yet to be announced however, fire investigators say it is not considered to be suspicious or criminal at this time.
