Gas Station Worker Shot in the Head and Left in Critical Condition

November 23, 2022 BRONX New York – A Bronx gas station employee was shot in the head Tuesday evening and left with critical injuries. The unknown perpetrator fled the scene on foot and as of Wednesday morning remains on the run, police said.

According to officials, a 43-year-old store clerk at the Sunoco gas station near Boston Road & Astor Avenue was shot just after 7 p.m., in the Allerton section of the Bronx and rushed in critical condition to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi.

Detectives are working to determine a motive for the attack and piece together what led up to the shooting. No money or goods were taken from the store and it’s unknown at this time if the shooting was a botched robbery or personal.

No arrests at this time and the investigation into the violent shooting is currently underway.
