Person and a Dog Injured in Heavy Bronx Fire, Lithium Battery Removed From Location – Findlay Avenue

November 13 2022 BRONX, New York – A lithium battery was removed from a home after a heavy apartment fire in the Bronx this Sunday morning.

FDNY received the call at 05:37am to respond to 1125 Findlay Avenue, for a heavy fire in a 5-story home, officials said.

60 firefighters battled the all-hands blaze and were able to bring it under control around 6am, officials said.

One person was holding a dog who appeared to have been burned or injured.



FDNY reports one victim with a minor injury who was taken to a local hospital.

A lithium ion battery was removed from the location, Fire Marshals have yet to determine the cause of the fire.
