Remnants of Tropical Storm Nicole Drench New York City with Heavy Rain and Flooding

November 11 2022 QUEENS, New York – the remnants of Tropical Storm Nicole continue to move through the Tri-State Area this weekend, causing flooding in New York City and New Jersey areas.

Roads were flooded in College Point, Queens, as heavy bands of rain came through the area, some cars swmining through 20th Avenue on Friday evening.

Meanwhile in Whitestone area of Queens, exploding arcing transformer was seen exploding.

A transformer has blown near Willets Point Blvd & 16th Ave in Whitestone, Queens as high winds and heavy rain remnants from Hurricane Nicole continue to affect the New York City area. Con Edison was on the scene to repair the damage.
