Shots Fired after Officer Attempts to Pull Over a Car in Canarsie

November 9 2022 BROOKLYN, New York – Shots were fired towards police after officers attempted to pull over a vehicle in Canarsie part of Brooklyn, officials said.

Incident was reported at approximately 2:05pm., as officers on scene called for help and additional units on Rockaway Parkway and Shore Parkway, after shots were fired towards police. Shots were allegedly fired after officers attempted to pull over a car near this location, officials said.

Two officers sustained minor injuries and confirmed they are still searching for at least three suspects that fled eastbound on the Belt Parkway, as they were being being pursued for in connection with a shooting that occurred about three days ago, police said.
