Lee Zeldin Does Not Concede “1.4 Million Votes Yet to be Counted”, Kathy Hochul Calls Victory

November 09, 2022 – MANHATTAN, New York: Gubernatorial Candidate Lee Zeldin held an election night party at Cipriani on 42nd Street.
After a few hours, Kathy Hochul declared victory in the race and soon several outlets called the race for the incumbent.


Zeldin supporters were seen crying in the crowd, some in disbelief proclaimed, “it says projected, not defeated.”
Congressman Lee Zeldin took the stage around midnight and did not concede the race. Speaking for about 10 minutes he said, “there is still a story that yet to be told, there are over 1.4 million election day votes that are still to be counted.”

As of 1a.m., New York Times reported 90%of votes are in, 2,869,712 +52.9% for Kathy Hochul and 2,552,639 +47.1% for Lee Zeldin
