Congressman Lee Zeldin CONCEDES, Congratulates NY Governor Kathy Hochul

November 10 2022 New York, New York – Congressman Lee Zeldin Concedes race to NY Governor Kathy Hochul “I would like to congratulate New York Governor Kathy Hochul on her election to a full four year term.”

Congressman Lee Zeldin announced the morning after the election.

Kathy Hochul has officially become the first woman to be elected governor of the New York state.

On november 09, 2022, then Gubernatorial Candidate Lee Zeldin held an election night party at Cipriani on 42nd Street.


After a few hours, Kathy Hochul declared victory in the race and soon several outlets called the race for the incumbent.


Zeldin supporters were seen crying in the crowd, some in disbelief proclaimed, “it says projected, not defeated.”
Congressman Lee Zeldin took the stage around midnight and did not concede the race. Speaking for about 10 minutes he said, “there is still a story that yet to be told, there are over 1.4 million election day votes that are still to be counted.”

As of 1a.m., New York Times reported 90%of votes are in, 2,869,712 +52.9% for Kathy Hochul and 2,552,639 +47.1% for Lee Zeldin
