Worker’s Body Found inside a FREEZER at a Brooklyn Bakery

November 3 2022 BROOKLYN, New York – A worker’s body was discovered inside a walk-in freezer at a bakery in Brooklyn Thursday morning.

Police and FDNY emergency crews responded to Beigel’s Bakery at 5700 Avenue D and East 56th Street in East Flatbush part of Brooklyn.

Investigators say the person was found dead by his co-workers around 8:45 a.m.

Police say the victim is a 32-year-old, male, and appears to have been accidentally locked in the walk-in freezer overnight.

The male victim showed up to work at Beigel’s Bakery at around 3 a.m., went to clean the freezer and accidentally locked himself inside, according to the NYPD.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
