500 Drones Take Over NYC Skies for Candy Crush Anniversary, Twitterverse Outraged “Shoot them down”

November 03, 2022 New York, New York – 500 Drone Advertisment for Candy Crush took over NYC skies tonight, It’s part of a new marketing ads that “turning the sky into the largest screen on the planet.”

A display of 500 drones flew over the Hudson River in lower Manhattan on 11/3 for advertising purposes. The display started at 7:45 PM and lasted 10 minutes.


Today was Candy Crush’s 10 year anniversary as they held event in Battery Park, Manhattan.

Multiple people online discussed ways they could shoot down or damage the drones, some concerned with surveillance: “high powered bb guns from rooftops? Company dissent aka “human error?” a lucky or clever white hat hacker?”.

Users on Twitter commented “Target practice” and “i encourage all NYC residents to take potshots at the lights”.

Nobody however appeared to interfere with the display tonight.
