October 30 2022 BROOKLYN, New YORK – A 28-year-old man is dead after being shot multiple times in the back early Sunday morning at a Brooklyn Halloween Party, said police.
Just before 6:30am, 77th Precinct police responded to 911 calls of shots fired near Atlantic Avenue & Grand Avenue in Crown Heights. Once outside of the commercial building at 1006 Atlantic Avenue, officers located a man shot multiple times with wounds to the body.
The 28-year-old male did not survive his injuries and was pronounced dead at the location by EMS.
Officials say there was also a 51-year-old female shot and transported by private means to kings county hospital where she is listed in stable condition with a gunshot wound to the left elbow.
The space did not appear to be open for business during the shooting but according to police officials, the location was being used for a Halloween party that turned violent once a unknown shooter open fire, striking at least two people and killing one.
Police say a suspect fled the location and there are no arrests. It’s unknown at this time if the victims were the intended targets or not, as the investigation into the deadly shooting is ongoing.
