Construction Worker PLUNGED into 25-foot Hole on Upper East Side

October 26 2022 MANHATTAN, New York – A man has plunged into 25-foot hole on the Upper East Side on Wednesday afternoon. Incident happened around 2p.m. near 83rd street and 2nd Avenue.

Incident location 250 East 83rd Street, is a 23-story tower that is currently under construction.

FDNY officials said emergency workers rescued the victim, the extent of worker’s injuries were not immediately clear.


The Department of Buildings tells Upper East Site that its personnel are en route to the scene of the incident and will provide an update when they know more.
