Man Dragged and Killed by Train as His Clothes Caught in a Door

October 24 2022 MANHATTAN, New York – A man has died after being dragged by Manhattan train when a piece of clothing got caught in the doors.

Police say a male subway rider was dragged by 1 train and killed at 59th Street Columbus Cirlce station in Manhattan on Monday afternoon.

The man was running to catch a southbound 1 train, when a piece of his clothing got cought by the train’s door. As the train started moving, victim was dragged along with it, ending up on the tracks.

He was hit by another train, police said

Incident occured around 5pm, victim has passed away from injuries.

No criminality is suspected.
