October 16 2022 BRONX, New York – Officials say that a police officer was struck by Mercedes during a traffic stop on a Bronx street late Sunday night, fellow officer opened fire at suspect’s car.
After striking the officer with the vehicle that’s allegedly stolen, suspect fled the scene, police said.
Just around 10:20pm, cops responded to an alleged carjacking of a Mercedes Benz at gunpoint, near Westchester Avenue and Elder Avenue, officials said.




While attempting to conduct a traffic stop on the alleged stolen vehicle, the driver hit the gas and drove into one of the officers, officials said.
In response, fellow officer on the scene opened fire at the car and four suspects fled on foot, according to police.
Police officer was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center and is expected to survive.
There are no arrests at this time.
