October 13, 2022 QUEENS, New York – 56-year-old Roosevelt Rose was charged with murder after Mothers day hit-and-run incident in Queens.
113th precinct detectives escorted Roosevelt Rose, to a jail transport police vehicle, after they say they charged him with Murder, Manslaughter, Assault, Leave the Scene of an Accident, Criminal Mischief and Reckless Driving.
Rose has been charged in connection with the fatal Mother’s Day hit-and-run crash, where Florence Ngwu, 49, was pinned between two cars and killed outside her home in Queens.


On Sunday, May 8, 2022 at approximately 0833am, police responded to a 911 call of a pedestrian struck by a car near 120 Avenue and 167 Street, finding a 49-year-old female. Victim was transported to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where she eventually passed away from her injuries.
Police say that a 2019 Ford F550 Truck struck a 2017 Chevrolet Equinox which was parked, unoccupied. The collision pushed the Chevrolet Equinox into three pedestrians pinning the 49 year old victim between the cars, officials said.
The driver of the Ford F550 fled the scene.
