October 07, 2022 Bronx, New York: A 38-year-old man has succumbed to injuries sustained during a violent Subway assault on the evening of October 6th. Upon exiting a north bound 4 train the now deceased victim was beaten and stabbed multiple times during a unprovoked attack at the 176 Street Station in the Bronx, police said.
The 38-year-old victim was an innocent bystander who was involved in a physical altercation that spilled onto the platform around 9pm at 176th St station. The male victim was rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital in critical condition and was later pronounced dead by medical staff, police said.



Surveillance video footage released by NYPD shows the victim exiting the 4 train and soon after being violently beaten. In the midst of a struggle on the platform, the victim was also stabbed multiple times in both the back and chest. According to police, the vicious attack was unprovoked.
At approximately 9:05pm, Transit District 11 Police responded to reports of a violent assault at the Bronx Subway Station and located the seriously injured man.
The 38-year-old victims name has not been released to the public yet and being withheld pending proper family notification.





Detectives are searching for a suspect described as a dark skinned male last seen fleeing the station wearing a dark color hoodie and Nike shoes. At this time there are no arrests and the investigation into the violent incident is ongoing.
