October 6 2022 New York City, New York – At least seven pedestrians have been struck by car drivers Across New York City today, one person confirmed dead, multiple people are in life threatening condition, at least two victims are children, according to police reports.
At approximately 3:03p.m., three pedestrians including a child were struck by a vehicle and critically injured at Hoe Avenue and Westchester Avenue in the Bronx, police vehicle was seen on the corner, crashed.
According to police at least three of the victims have sustained life-threatening injuries, all being rushed to a local hospital for further treatment.
Early afternoon in Manhattan, a person was seriously injured and has died after being struck by a box truck in the middle of Midtown on Thursday afternoon morning.
Police received a report of a person struck by a truck on 8th Avenue and 44th street just around 11:30am.
Police found victim under a truck, in the cross walk, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The circumstances of the incident are not known at this time.
At approximately 7:48a.m., in Middle Village neighborhood of Queens, police responded to 911 calls of a pedestrian struck near 85th St & Eliot Ave.
Upon their arrival officers located a seriously injured person that was appeared to have been removed from underneath a vehicle by the first responders and the FDNY, Police say. The pedestrian was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
At approximately 8:44am in Brooklyn, 81-Year-Old Woman Struck by DSNY GARBAGE TRUCK Seriously Injured. Police responded to 84th Street & 15th Avenue in Brooklyn where According to police the woman was struck in cross walk by the driver of a DSNY garbage truck. The elderly woman was rushed to an area hospital in critical condition.
At approximately 12:10p.m., FDNY and Police say they responded to Union Street and Hoyt Street in Brooklyn, where a young child was struck by a vehicle. Victim’s injuries are not known at this time.
