43-year-old Charged with Murder in Slashing Death of a man on Brooklyn Subway L Train

October 5 2022 BROOKLYN, New York – 43-year-old man was arrested and charged with murder, after police say he slashed and killed a man at Atlantic Avenue subway station on September 30th.

Police say, on September 30 2022, a Canarsie man Tommy Bailey, 43, was stabbed to death in a Brooklyn subway station Friday evening. According to police, Alvin Charles, who is listed as homeless, was charged with murder on October 5th.

Just before 9:00pm., police said Mr. Bailey was stabbed in the neck and critically injured at the Atlantic Ave, L line subway station in Brooklyn.

The 43-year-old male victim was traveling on a southbound L train, when a dispute began with another man, suspect stabbed the victim in the neck and body as they were near the Atlantic Avenue subway, police say.

Officials say that the suspect fled the scene, 43-year-old suspect was apprehended on October 5th.
