Shoplifter Attempts to Carjack, Causes Driver to Crash into KFC Leaving Manager with Life Threatening Injuries in Queens

September 26 2022 QUEENS, New York – Car Crashed into KFC Causing Life Threatening Injuries to Store Manager.

Police say a shoplifter with cart full of items, attempted to carjack a vehicle, causing it to crash through KFC Window in Queens this afternoon.

Police say that store manager was speaking with a restaurant patron near a window, when the car came crashing and striking the Manger.

Incident occured near 158-02 Union Turnpike, in Flushing neighborhood of Queens, just after 2pm on Monday afternoon.

Police say they originally responded to a shoplifting call at the Riteaid, where suspect fled with a shopping cart full of items and attempted to carjack a vehicle nearby.

As the suspect opened the car door and attempted to wrestle the driver out of the vehicle, during the struggle the car crashed into the KFC restaurant, officials said.
