September 02, 2022 | BROOKLYN, NY: Four people were wounded during a drive by shooting that occurred in the Greenpoint neighborhood of Brooklyn, Friday evening. Authorities said the gunfire erupted near 223 Russell Street in Brooklyn, just before 9pm.
According to NYPD officials, a car drove up to the location and at least one of the occupants opened fire on the victims from inside of the vehicle. After shots rang out the driver of the car made a get away and fled the scene. The exact number of occupants inside of the vehicle is not immediately known.
Police from the 94th precinct responded to several 911 calls of shots fired at the location where four men were each shot and suffered various injuries. The extent of injuries sustained is unknown. Each of the victims were transported by EMS to an area hospital.
There are no arrests at this time as detectives are on the hunt for several suspects. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
