August 20, 2022 | Bronx, New, York: A 49-year-old NYCHA employee was killed after shots rang out in the Bronx and the man was struck at least once in the head. The incident occurred on August 19th around 4:15pm Friday afternoon, near the intersection of Jackson Avenue & East 156th Street in the Longwood section of the Bronx.
The gravely wounded victim was found by police behind the Saint Mary’s Park NYCHA development and rushed to Lincoln hospital with severe head trauma. The 49-year-old man did not survive his injuries and was later pronounced dead, police said.
It wasn’t immediately known if the NYCHA employee was working or off duty when he was gunned down midday Friday afternoon. Detectives are searching for two male suspects who fled the shooting scene on a motor scooter.




At this time there are no arrests and the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
