74-Year-Old Pedestrian Killed in Queens Hit-and-Run

August 14, 2022 | QUEENS, NY: A 74-year-old male pedestrian was gravely wounded after allegedly struck by a BMW driver Sunday evening. The driver of the dark colored vehicle fled the scene of the collision without rendering aid, leaving behind the man with life threatening injuries, authorities said.

Just before 8:00pm, Police from the 104th precinct responded to 911 calls of a person struck by a vehicle. Upon their arrival, NYPD officers discovered a wounded pedestrian in the roadway at the intersection Myrtle Avenue & Seneca Avenue and EMS was requested to the location.

The victim did not survive his injuries and was pronounced DOA by EMS, police said. At this time there are no arrests and the investigation into the hit and run collision is ongoing.
