Car Fleeing from Cops Strikes Three People and Toddler in Queens

August 10 2022 QUEENS, New York – Three people were struck, including a toddler, by a a driver’s car fleeing from Cops following a car stop in Ridgewood Queens, police said.

Incident happened around 5pm on Wednesday afternoon, when police conducted a car stop near Wyckoff Avenue and George Street.

As police exited their vehicle and approached the car, they say they discovered expired license and asked the driver to exit the vehicle, then driver sped away, striking three people.

28-year-old woman suffered a knee injury, she was pushing a stroller with a 2-year-old toddler who was injured on the wrist.

A 35-year-old man received a leg injury. officials said.

Suspect has not been apprehended.
