Next morning, pro-Trump and anti-Trump protesters gathered outside of New York City Trump Tower to protest.
Multiple posts made online mentioned and some called for civil war, and protests against the FBI.
On August 8th 2022, FBI raided Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Home.
In a long statement on his social media platform, Trump said his residence is ‘under siege by large group of agents’ Trump said, ‘Nothing like this has ever happened to a President of the United States before’.
Trump said that the raid was “unannounced”.
According to NBC White House correspondent Kelly O’Donnell, FBI notified the Secret Service that a warrant would be executed and Secret Service facilitated access, however they did not take part in investigation or search.
Gabby Orr, a CNN reporter posted that Christina Bobby, Trump’s attorney, has confirmed that FBI seized documents from Mar-a-Lago today.
According to CNN, Trump is currently in New York City, Trump was seen leaving New York City around 8:20pm.
