July 28 2022 QUEENS, New York – Two people were reportedly injured after a battery explosion at P. S. 111 School in Astoria / Long Island City area of Queens Thursday afternoon.
Reports of explosion at an Astoria school located at 37-15 13th street came through shortly before 3p.m. According to online reports, a battery explosion may have been the cause of two injuries.
Hazmat responders were called to assist. According to officials, one the the victims was a girl, injured in the eye.
