20-Year-Old Bronx Man Left Critical after Shot Twice in the Head

July 26, 2022 | Bronx, New York: A 20-year-old man has been left in critical condition following an early morning shooting outside a Bodega in the Bronx. At approximately 4:10 a.m. police from the 48th precinct responded to the Deli & Grocery store at 717 East 187th St. in the Belmont section of the Bronx for a report of shots fired.

Upon their arrival officers located the 20-year-old individual in very serious condition with at least two gun shot wounds to the head and once to the body, police said. The seriously wounded male was rushed by EMS to St. Barnabas Hospital where authorities say his condition is very critical.

A motive for the shooting has yet to be determined and the incident remains under investigation.

At this time no arrests have been made and police detectives are searching for two suspects in connection to the shooting.
