July 25, 2022 | Brooklyn, New York: A 26-year-old woman was found stabbed to death in her Brooklyn home late Sunday evening. The gravely wounded females 17-year-old brother was taken into custody for questioning in regards to the fatal assault, police said.
At approximately 11:29pm, officers from the 67th precinct responded to a 911 call for an assault in progress on E 48th Street near Beverley Road and located 27-year-old Shanelle Colquhoun with stab wounds to her neck and body.
According to NYPD Officials, the critically wounded female was rushed by EMS to NYC Health and Hospitals Kings County, where she did survive her injuries and was pronounced dead.
The 17-year-old male sibling of the deceased was taken into police custody in connection to the fatal stabbing. At this time charges are pending against the teenager and the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
