Man Stabbed and Killed in the Bronx, Next to his Wife

July 21 2022 Bronx, New York – A man was stabbed and killed in the Bronx in a broad daylight on Thursday afternoon, right in front of his wife who tried to save him, Nypost reports.

Victim was identified as 35-year-old Nathaniel Rivers, according to police.

Incident occured around 1:15 p.m. near East 205 Street and Decatur Avenue in Norwood part of the Bronx.

Franklin Mesa, 19-year-old suspect, approached Rivers, stabbing him in the chest, cops said.

According to the NYPOST, after the victim was stabbed, his wife hit suspect with a ply bar, in attempt to help her husband, police say.

Rivers was rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
