$10,000 Reward Announced for Information on Homicide of a Basketball Player – Darius Lee

NYPD has announced a combined reward in the amount of $10,000 in regard to the shooting of multiple people in Harlem that left a basketball player, Darius Lee, dead.

According to the NYPD, up to $3,500 is payable by CrimeStoppers upon arrest and indictment and $6,500 is payable by NYPD upon arrest and conviction of those responsible for this incident.

June 20 2022 Manhattan, New York – Nine people were shot, one Killed in Harlem early Monday morning.

Shooting happened around East 139th St and 5th Avenue, just after 12:30 a.m. Police say they found five people shot on the FDR Highway foot path, according to press conference by the NYPD Chief Brian McGee.

The five victims were taken to the hospital, while another 4 victims were were taken to hospitals by private means.

One of the shooting victims, 21-year-old male, was taken to Lincoln Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

A firearm was recovered on scene. Police say multiple shooter’s were involved, there are no arrests in regard and the investigation remains ongoing at this time.

Victim has been identified as a basketball player, Darius Lee, a senior at Houston Baptist University in Texas. Lee was 21 years olde and grew up in Harlem.
