July 16 2022 BRONX, New York – Police found a 66-year-old female unresponsive, lying face down with two lacerations to her forehead inside 3125 Park Avenue, around 7pm on Friday in the Bronx.
Cops say they arrested a 26-year-old female, police officials explained was the victims daughter. The daughter was charged with murder after admitting to police she beat her mother with a hammer. Her mother’s body was found under a bed.
The victim’s son, who lives in the same home, said that the suspect told him she struck her mom with a hammer because she was possessed by demons, according to the NYPOST.
Police responded to a 911 call at around 6:47p.m. on a Friday night, inside of 3125 Park Avenue.
When police arrived to the location, they found the victim unconscious. Paramedics called to the scene pronounced the victim dead at the residence shortly after.


Next morning, just around 2am, police arrested a 26-year-old Charlene Novoa, who resides in the same building, charging her with murder, according to officials.
Victim was identified as Silma Garcia.
