July 13, 2022 Manhattan, New York – 41-year-old Man Found Shot Dead in His Crashed Car on Cross Bronx Expressway

Around 10:43pm, police responded to a ShotSpotter activation to “Shots Fired” near West 181 Street and Amsterdam Avenue on the Washington Bridge ramp, Wednesday night.

When police arrived, they discovered a red Dodge pickup truck that has crashed into a guard rail at the entrance ramp of the Cross Bronx Expressway from the bridge.

A 41-year-old male driver, was discovered shot in his torso, according to police. EMS responded to the location and transported the victim to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

There are no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing.
