Two People including Child Dead after 11 Rescued from Hudson River after NJ Boat Capsized in NYC

July 11 2022 Manhattan, New York – Twelve people were rescued from Hudson River after their boat capsized. A 7-year-old child was removed, first responders were performing CPR on the young victim.

Video by ABC7 Eyewitness News shows the vessel completely flipped over in the water with an NYPD boat circling the craft.

Police say that two people were pulled from the Hudson River by first responders after a boat with a 12 people on board capsized.

Incident occured around 2:45pm near West 46th Street and Pier 84.

Total of 12 victims, two people were rescued from the water by FDNY and NYPD, officials say.

A 7-year-old boy, among the victims, was taken to Bellevue Hospital in critical condition, police said. A female victim was taken to Roosevelt Hospital in critical condition.

One other person sustained serious, but non-life threatening injuries and 9 others suffered minor injuries, according to officials

NYC Mayor Adams was on the scene surviving response and speaking to officials. Mayor Adams announced in the press conference that two of the victims have passed away from their injuries.
