July 08, 2022 | Queens, NY: Police report shooting at a suspect after he opened fire, following a threat to “Blow Up” the World. Just around 6pm, NYPD officers were called to 205-17 116th Avenue in Queens where they say they received a threat.
Suspect, who was shot by police after opening fire, was allegedly threatening Gov. Kathy Hochul, New York City Police Commissioner Keechant Sewell and other elected officials, police said. Suspect stated in a call that he would “blow the head off of the first officers he saw,” according to police press conference.
The alleged suspect was left critically wounded, according to officials and was later pronounced dead at the hospital. Police officers were not wounded.





Just an hour later, police shoot allegedly armed suspect in the chest after he opens fire in Downtown Brooklyn. Police say they observed “traffic violations being performed by a vehicle” on Flatbush Avenue and that one of the passengers jumped out and fled during a traffic stop around 7:40pm in Fort Green Brooklyn, fleeing on foot, a shootout happened at Flatbush Avenue and Nevins Street.
“In the vicinity of Rockwell Place and Lafayette Avenue, the male turns around, displays a firearm and fires multiple shots at the officer,” police stated during a press conference, “The officer draws his weapon, fires shots in return and he strikes the subject in the chest.”
Suspect has died from his injuries.
