POLICE ON A HUNT after Alleged Suspect Stabs Bronx Woman to Death

New details have emerged in the investigation of a recent deadly assault involving a knife. The NYPD have released surveillance video of an alleged suspect in the fatal stabbing of 56-year-old Nancy Newsome. Ms. Newsome was killed inside of her Bronx apartment just last month.

A man on a scooter is seen in surveillance footage entering and exiting the building through an elevator. It’s unclear how this individual is connected to the case at this time, however police officials consider this man a person of interest.

On June 24 just before 4am, police responded to 911 calls of a stabbing at the Castle Hill Houses at 530 Olmstead Avenue in the Castle Hill section of the Bronx.

Upon their arrival, NYPD officers located an injured female with a stab wounds to the torso and abdomen who was later identified by authorities as Ms. Newsome.

The 56-year-old was rushed by EMS to NYC Health & Hospitals/Jacobi, where Newsome was pronounced dead, police said.

As of Friday July 08, there are no arrests in the murder of Nancy Newsome. The investigation into this stabbing incident remains ongoing at this time.
