Protests Continue in Akron Ohio over Killing of Jayland Walker

July 04, 2022 | AKRON, Ohio: Protests continue in Akron, Ohio on July 4, 2022 after Mayor Dan Horrigan declared a state of emergency and canceled Fourth of July fireworks following protests calling for justice in the police killing of Jayland Walker.

A curfew was also declared after hundreds of protesters flooded Akron’s streets yesterday when police officials released body camera videos of eight officers firing more than 90 bullets at 25-year-old Jayland Walker.
