July 02, 2022 | MANHATTAN, NY: A 3-year-old boy died Saturday morning after allegedly falling from inside a 29th floor balcony window at a Manhattan residential building. Just after 11am, police from the 25th precinct responded to the Taino Towers building in East Harlem after 911 calls for an injured child.
Upon police arrival, officers located an unresponsive injured child lying on top scaffolding that begins around the 3rd floor of the residential building. The 3-year-old was rushed to Harlem Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police officials say.

We spoke with Phil, a 25 year resident of the towers who said the window the child fell from had what appears to be a faulty or damaged window screen but couldn’t say if that’s the reason the child fell from the window. Phil went on to mention he didn’t see anything but that around 11am he heard a loud boom.

The official cause of the 3-year-old child’s death has yet to be determined and the incident is still under investigation.
