Eleven Injured in Brooklyn Bike Shop Fire, Including Two Firefighters

June 26, 2022 | BROOKLYN, NY: Eleven people including two Firefighters were injured after a heavy fire broke out inside an Electric bike shop Sunday afternoon, in the sunset park neighborhood of Brooklyn.

According to fire officials, ten injured people were transported by EMS to area hospitals with their individual conditions unknown at this time. One of the injured firefighters was not hospitalized and treated on scene.

At approximately 3:58pm FDNY rescue crews responded to report of a heavy 3-alarm fire and partial structural collapse at 5822 6th Avenue.

The official cause of the fire has yet to be determined and remains under investigation.
